Twenty-first Century is a network information age, the development of computer network technologybrings new development to a new generation of network (Next Generation Network, NGN). NGN is software for technology as its core technology, integrates large heterogeneous networks, and constructs a new network which can provide voice, video, data and other business for the public. How to intergrate telecommunication network, cable television network and computer network becomes one of important topics of telecom network community. At present, the soft exchange protocol is mainly SIP (Session Initial Protocal) protocol and H.323SIP protocol, and because of its simple, easy to transplant, SIP Protocol becomes the mainstream standard protocols in Softswitch, and is currently an important growth point of application.SIP is as a multimedia communication control protocol and constructs all kinds of heterogeneous network structure into a seamless communication network through various types of gateway and network with all of its functions. Therefore SIP is very suitable for the development of the remote video monitoring, remote education, and remote conference.Under this application background, this subject is based on the SIP protocol to construct the SIP registration server and embedded SIP terminal system based on ARM. The main research topics are as follows:(1)Firstly, the paper first introduces the background and significance of this research, and then introduces the domestic and foreign research status of SIP protocol and its application. In SIP protocol, we introduce the characteristics of SIP and the function as well as the entity; describe the process of SIP message, the SIP session and simply anlyse the SIP protocol stack and the SIP extension.(2) According to the design and implementation of the SIP register server and based on analyzing the server architecture, we propose a distributed SIP server tree which bases on registration server model and the overall architecture and give the implementation process and method.(3) According to the Dos attacking which occurres in SIP server, this paper proposes a set of SIP DOS attack detection method based on BP neural network, and carry out the simulation test for the method. Correlation test results show that the method proposed can reduce the system error rate, thereby improving system flooding detection capability.(4)The design and implementation of embedded SIP terminal system is mainly to choose and to construct software and hardware platform, and the design and implementation of each module in the SIP terminal system.(5) System testing. The test is divided into test server and terminal test. The server is mainly through the use of SIP terminal product test server different registration function, which involved in the test terminal containing embedded SIP terminal is designed in this paper and the other using SIP soft phone; and the terminal test, SIP is all kinds of conversational functions by connecting contains SIP server designed in this paper, a different SIP server test.
