Laser digit speckle correlation method (DSCM) has been an effective mean of metrology and widely used in experimental mechanics, measurement and other engineerings. After long-term development, the accuracy has reached more highly with the improvement of hardware performance and the optimization of the algorithm. And there are advantages of non-contaction, high precision and full-field, which has brought convenience for measurement applications.Firstly, the working principle and the characteristics of the current and output power of808nm semiconductor laser (LD) are descrbed, and the LD driver is constant current source. The LD temperature is measured through system of VB and microcontroller. Its driver based on switching power supply and lithium is produced.Secondly, the optimum length of Nd:YVO4and KTP is calculated. A12W,808nm laser diode is used to fabricate a quasi-cw double pulsed NdiYVO4-KTP intracavity frequency doubling solid state laser with an acousto-optic Q-swicth. And0.57W continous green output is obtained.Thirdly, basic principle and subpixel correlation methods of DSCM which is programmed by MATLAB are presented in details. Then COM components are built by the programs with it. And the stand-alone application is generated with the COM components. Simulated speckle images are generated to test and verify the algorithm. At last, the laser device is used to measure the deformation of plexglass. This expriemtal platform has provided equipment foundation for further exploring the mechanism of high-speed cutting tool.
