Mobility Ad Hoc Network has become one of the global research hot spots in next generation network and emergency communication network technology, which can be used for solving the multi-hop communication in network where without fixed communication facilities, such as the infrastructureless scene or somewhere hard to set up communication network, even the occasion which is badly in need of fast automatic setup network. Mobile Ad Hoc network has multiple superior performances, such as no center, self-organizing, self-healing and multi-hop transmission, etc. It can support different types of client and network access points. Besides, it can keep a good connect with other type network and make to be a high anti-destroying network. On considerate of the special characteristics of Mobile Ad Hoc network, it is particularly suitable for military tactics communication, it also can be used in civil field in recent years, such as search, rescue work and post-disaster recovery.This paper makes a deep research on the basic principle, characteristics, application and key technology of mobile Ad Hoc network, and made an analysis of the multi-channel technology and802.11MAC protocol. At first, this paper check, analyze and sum up various of MAC protocol, and they can be divided to protocol based on the competition, based on scheduling and hybrid MAC protocol from allocate mechanism, it also can be separate from the amount of channels, such as single channel, double channel and multiple channel. Then based on these theory, this paper presents a multi-channel MAC protocol which based on the number of available channels and Quality of Service(QoS) guarantee mechanism, both of them greatly improve the utilization rate of channel resource.There are several ways to study MANETs, one of the most commonly solution is applying the simulation tools like OPNET, NetSim or NS2. This paper extended the multi-channel node model based on the NS2simulation platform. Then add the new multi-channel MAC protocol and quality of service mechanism to the simulation platform, and make some related simulation experiment, the results show the validity of both the MAC protocol and QoS guarantee mechanism. And the simulation results also show that this method can ensure the good quality of real-time service, thereby optimizing the overall performance of wireless Ad Hoc networks.This paper is divided into six chapters, the first chapter describes the basic characteristics of mobile Ad Hoc network and the development of multi-channel technology; the second chapter make a introduce and comment of MAC protocol research status and key technologies on mobile Ad Hoc network; in the third chapter which elaborated a multi-channel MAC protocol CAMAC which based on the number of available channels, and introduces the protocol principle, work tlow and implementation process; the fourth chapter discusses how to build the NS2multi-channel mobile node model and how to add the improvement MAC protocol CAMAC to NS2simulator, then make a simulation experiment on the NS2model; the fifth chapter puts forward and introduces an improved of CAMAC, which ensure the real-time quality of service by distinguishing service access priority and waiting timee finally, summarizes the full text, discuss the further improvement work.
