With the rapid development of wireless Ad Hoc network technology, more and more research and application of related aspects have attracted more and more researchers' attention. The main key functions of the MAC protocol are the reasonable allocation of channel resources in the network and the fast access of nodes. The performance of the MAC protocol directly affects the performance of the entire network such as throughput, channel utilization, and access delay. In the Ad Hoc network, there are mainly two major types of MAC protocols. One is a TDMA-based MAC protocol. The other is a CSMA-based MAC protocol.Compared with the contention-based CSMA mode protocol, the allocation-based TDMA method is more suitable for Ad Hoc networks. The TDMA-MAC protocol mainly needs to solve two major problems. One is to ensure the clock synchronization of the whole network node. The other is a suitable time slot allocation method. The prerequisite for the TDMA protocol is that the entire network clock is synchronized. If the entire network clock cannot be synchronized, the network cannot run.The essence of the MAC protocol is to properly allocate channel resources of the entire network. Therefore, the TDMA-MAC protocol should have its proper time slot allocation method, which can efficiently utilize channel resources, reduce node access delay, and improve network throughput.Firstly, aiming at the shortcomings of the existing clock synchronization algorithm,an integrated clock synchronization algorithm, namely HAS clock synchronization algorithm, which combines self-synchronization,external synchronization and hybrid synchronization is proposed.Secondly, due to the large number of nodes,Ad Hoc networks are not suitable for planar structures. Therefore,a hierarchical structure is employed herein. To make full use of multiple channels, each cluster uses a different channel after clustering is completed.Analyzing the defects of FRPR protocol, combined with the characteristics of hierarchical Ad Hoc network in this paper,a load-based multi-channel MAC protocol, namely MC-FSHP protocol,is proposed.
