Since entering the21st century, mobile wireless communication technology and intelligent terminal technology have obtained rapid development. And increasing numbers of people demand for more convenient, more efficient, more highly capacity wireless network. Wireless multi-hop network (wireless Ad Hoc network, wireless mesh network, wireless sensor network) has been applied in the environmental protection, wireless broadband access as well as various industries which have been beneficial to the people’s livelihood, with its variety of network type and comprehensive network mode. Because the wireless multi-hop networks often through a plurality of wireless nodes in the form of self-organized network, wireless communication node have been affected by the energy, the wireless communication module, transmission bandwidth, and the environment and so on, often meet high frequency link fault when transmit data or be disturbed by external. And will affect people’s expectation for wireless network communication. Therefore, in view of the current status of wireless multi-hop network, research and develop a efficient and stable wireless multi-hop routing protocol, at the same time, develop the audio and video capture transmission and playback system’based on embedded technology to verify the protocol, which have important practical significancesFirstly, the paper describes the concept and the classification of the wireless multi-hop network as well as WMN’s development prospects and applications in today’s society. In the paper, we use the WMNs typical representative wireless Ad Hoc network routing protocols as the starting point. Classify the wireless Ad Hoc network networking features and road routing protocol, and describes the process of AODV routing mechanism. Secondly, the paper introduces the AODV routing protocol’s realization and transplant to the TOP6410which based on the ARM11microprocessor. Through the test on the AODV routing protocol based on the TOP6410, the paper put forward the hello-ack mechanism which is the screening method based on the neighbor nodes on wireless multi-hop network, and improved AODV routing protocol. Then design and implement the audio and video capture broadcast transmission system based on WMN, which used for the performance test of the routing protocol. The results prove that the improved routing protocol meet the design requirement.
