With the prevalent of handheld order equipment and electronic menu, the degree of computerization and automation of the dining industry has gained considerable development. To reduce waiters’wage cost, to speed up menu dining and check-out, to serve more and more customers, a growing number of restaurants provide wireless ordering system to complete the series of process from menu dining to check-out. Using wireless ordering system can accelerate the speed of dining order and simplify the update of dish library, and it also makes the process of opening table, combining table, transferring table, ordering, and check-out efficient. It improves the overall service quality of the restaurant.Wi-Fi technology is also called wireless broadband. It can interconnect terminal equipment such as PC and hand-held devices in the way of wireless. It provides users with wireless broadband Internet access. Wi-Fi’s Advantage is that the application of Wi-Fi technology is abroad and hardware embedded technology of Wi-Fi is mature. With the prevalent of panel terminal, Wi-Fi technology is also being more widely used. But Wi-Fi’s drawback is that its transmission distance is short and it has powerless penetrating. Its drawback can’t fully meet the need of wireless ordering system.433Mhz band belongs to the ISM band in our country. It is part of free application transmitting and receiving band. The wireless module based on433Mhz band has the advantage of long transmission distance, powerful penetrating and good resistance to decay, etc. This project will combine the benefits of Wi-Fi technology and433MHz band. The wireless handheld terminal will regard the wireless network based on433Mhz band as relay to extend the transmission distance. Using the wireless network model used in the project can easily set up a point-to-point, a point-to-multipoint and other typical network. And it has the advantages of broadcasting and extending distance. This wireless network model set the TCP protocol stack within which guarantee the data transmission reliable. This model has broad application in various fields such as logistics, warehousing, granary temperature acquisition, electronic meter reading, etc.
