With the rapid development of wireless multimedia, more and more services and applications come out, like online HD video, HDTV and digital home media. These media applications make a big demand for transmission data rate and frequency band. So with abundant unauthorized frequency resource, super high data rate and international generality,60GHz mm-wave system stands out, getting extensive attention in wireless communication area. Because there are some special features for60GHz like huge fade channel and unstable RF circuit, the synchronization technology become the key part for physical layer research. The topic of this paper is from the National Natural Science Foundation of China, studying the basement theory of60GHz mm-wave system, mainly on the synchronization technology in physical layer. Considering the temperature-sensitive60GHz transition devices, the observation shows that output frequency and power magnificently drop with temperature growing. The purpose of this paper is to automatic synchronization by a algorithm with training sequence.By studying frequency synchronization algorithms in OFDM system, we proposed a new synchronization solution, considering Kalman filter theory to predict and track frequency drift, in the way of data based pilots. It shows in the simulation results from comparison between traditional and new algorithm that the new algorithm proposed in this paper can deduce the pilots length and promote data utilization. The major achievements are as below:The theory of frequency synthesis in CMOS is that the low frequency from VCO is put in divider to change into high frequency. By analyzing the thermal effect to amplifier, we build the frequency drift model. And the data based synchronization algorithms of OFDM are simulated and analyzed in60GHz system. In this paper, it mainly simulated the training sequence in frequency drift scene. The simulation proves that the length of pilots is relevant to the frequency synchronization scale. So we proposed a new OFDM synchronization algorithm to against frequency drift. The new algorithm is achieved using Kalman filter and AR model on base of Chu sequence as training pilots. The next frequency estimation is predicted on basement of n parameters before. Compared with conventional algorithms, the analysis method gives out shorter pilots, dramatically promoting the data utilization.
