The Research Of Developing Feature-Based Modeling System And Transformation From 3D To 2D

In order to meet the demands of product feature-model in the processof the medium and small enterprises applying the integration of CAD/CAM,the part feature-based modeling system is developed in this paper on theplatform of AutoCAD 2004 with the object-oriented secondarydevelopment tool of ObjectARX 2004. So, the feature-based design isrealized on AutoCAD. The part feature-based modeling system isdeveloped according to the theory and technology of feature-basedmodeling, by the object-oriented software development method. Thissystem has modularity and an open structure, and has a friendly userinterface, and can be operated conveniently. At the same time, consideringthat the 2D drawing, as an important technology document, isindispensable in the production of enterprises, therefore, the 2D drawingmodul is developed based on the automatically creating views function ofAutoCAD, and the rapid transformation from 3D model to 2D drawing isrealized. The research in this paper establishes the foundation for applyingthe integration of CAD/CAM in the medium and small enterprises, and hasgreat significance on the real production of enterprises.
