| Smart home system is a wireless sensor network with various types of equipment which consists of smart home gateway, intelligent electrical apparatus, intelligent lighting system, measurement instruments, and intelligent guard system. And the core of the smart home is smart home gateway which in charge of coordination of the communications between different home terminal devices, the centralized control of home terminal devices, Internet access. Remote Monitoring and so on. With the rapid development of embedded technology and wireless communication technology, smart home gateway gradually turns to use embedded platform as the hardware platform of system, and adopt wireless communication to form the internal transmission of the smart home. The specific design and implementation have become a hot research in recent years.By analyzing and comparing existing solutions of smart home gateway and short-range wireless communications technology between different tenninal devices, this article presents a method to build the embedded smart home gateway by ARM processor and ZigBee module in the design of the hardware platform, give details of the system hardware design and schematic; In the design of the software, this article achieves Boa-based embedded Web server and completes Boa’s transplantation on Linux and programming Web applications by transplanting embedded Linux operating system as the software platform of the system, implements household equipment simple controlling function on through the dynamic web pages writing in CGIC, and can give proceeding control and management according to the user’s request on the browser, implements the function of preserving the historical data through SQLite database. At last the system achieves smart home gateway platform with ARM processor. ZigBee module, embedded Linux system and Boa Web server as the core, completes the design of wireless communication procedures and system monitoring program, and achieves the remote monitoring on home devices. |
