Since the1900s, racing simulation game, a high-tech entertainment game, has become more and more popular all over the world. This game is the product of combination of virtual reality technology, electrical and mechanical driver technology and automatic control technology. Making use of operating device, users can interact with virtual scene in the game. During the process of playing this kind of game, users have a more realistic, immersive, dynamic and exciting racing experience.According to the project of "Research and development of key equipment of4D motion theater", the main demands of racing simulator are analyzed. Finally, A simple, affordable racing simulator game platform is designed, which has two degrees of freedom. Two electric cylinders are installed in this platform, which respectively control rise and fall of two points on the platform. The rise and fall of platform can simulate that vehicle turn and uphill. The change of vehicle’s speed and collision can be simulated by the change of output frequency of the electric cylinders. Specific work as followed:(DThe kinematics of the platform is researched. According to vector relations of this platform, negative solution algorithm for motion platform is worked out through RPY angle description method. After analyzing the analytical method and numerical method of the forward position, positive solution algorithm is established by the Newton-Raphos method. Finallly, a simulation example is made in Matlab software.(2)Mechanical design work is done. In order to meet overall design and functional requirements, mechanical structure and3D module of the racing simulator are built.(3)Hardware control platform of servo drive system is built.First, according to the characteristics of this control system, the control system is divided into three parts:main controller module, motion controller module, implementation of controller module, and its function are simply introduced. Second, motion controller module and implementation of controller module is describled in detail. Third, after analyzing those modules, hardware control platform of servo drive system is built.(4)The platform motion control experiment is tested. First, on the basis of analyzing motion module, control module, which is suitable for racing simulation motion is shown. Second, duing to the characteristics of separation in the design stage racing simulator and game software, a control software, which is used to solve the problem of sync in development process is designed. Third, control software architecture and software development tool is described, and designing the upper-lower computer program. Finally, combined with the control requirements, the platform motion control experiment is tested.
