The antenna is an indispensable element of any radio system as a member of the radiation and reception of electromagnetic waves. The complex helical antenna with excellent electrical properties is of great significance in the field of communication. Laser maskless lithography technology has high machining precision, high resolution, and small processing feature sizes, which is suitable for the processing of small parts. As for the problem of the helical antenna integrated manufacturing, a novel processing approach for helical antennae by the5-axis CNC laser maskless lithographic processing technology in a single set-up is provided. In order to achieve the goal of precision manufacturing composite helical antenna, equipment for laser processing is developed. What the dissertation is composed is as follows.In order to achieve the precision machining of the antenna, a specific processing approach for the composite helical antenna is proposed in this paper. The feasibility of the maskless lithography used for the processing of the antenna is analyzed. The processing characters which make an impact on the quality of the finished antenna are studied, a5-axis CNC laser processing equipment is proposed.The influence of the equipment machining accuracy on the antenna symmetry error and width conformance error is developed, and also the minimum machining accuracy is provided. After analysis of the various types of errors and error pre-allocation, an equipment space position error model is given. Research on how the positioning accuracy affects the symmetry error and width consistency error of the antenna is proposed.The geometric accuracy of the equipment is tested. Linear positioning accuracy and repeatability of positioning accuracy is measured with laser interferometer HP-5528A as well. Compensation for the screw pitch error and backlash is finished with the function of CNC system to improve the positioning accuracy of the equipment.A novel processing approach for helical antenna by5-axis CNC laser maskless lithographic processing technology in a single set-up is proposed in this paper, which provides some insight for the mass production.
