Research of fan culture was rised in western,and it has quite matuue after decades of decelopment.The fan culture research in China started in2005.Many reseaechers has mentioned "identificationg"or"self-identification"in the fan culture research.But there is few of them do the research of fan self-identification process in the group from the perspective of idol worship.By utilizing the method of participatory observation and the participatory observation, we can see that the development of network community promote the rise and prosperity of internet fandoms which characteristics for idol worship.Online community set up a platform of free expression、interpersonal communication、access to identity for internet fandoms who can not accepted by formal audiences.Internet fandoms do the idolatry behacior such as sharing information、do creative production、online and offline activities in the platform of internet community.These behaviors is the way of self-identification.According to Anthony Giddens,we can realize self-identity through self-reflection and reference to others. There are three theoretical operation at the same time:sexual instinct、 introjection and projection and transitional objects.The text itself or idol works outstanding performance of the body. Fans can seen the ideal self from idol,and the idol is also a spiritual sustenance as transitional object for releasing the pressure of the heart.The interaction between fans and others is mainly through the present of cultural capital which is the accumulation of caltural works by fans and the guarantee of self and group identification.Fans achieve interaction to group as a leader or a opinion leader of the orgnization. In addition,as a member of internet fandom,fan of the individual’s self-identification is based on group identification.The internet fandoms realize the group identification via drawing borders to group and activities in order to gain self-identification.The self-identification of internet fandoms,which is realized by the behaviar of idol worship,is a initiative identify by the promotion of net media,and its essence is fan’s undersdanding of idol.It is also like a response of the ordinary people to the social anomie of China’s social transition.Fan culture research can help us to have a deep and clear understanding to contemporary Chinese mass culture.
