Multi-direction wave maker can simulate various types of sea wave, it can be used in the laboratory to simulate the elements of wave, including period, wave height as well as the direction of propagation, so the waves in the nature can be restored as much as possible to get very accurate simulated data, then apply it to research the mechanism that waves act on ships and coastal buildings, and use it on construction.Combine with the actual project, describe the principle and process in this paper that how the L-type segmented multi-direction irregular wave maker generates waves. Through the analysis of the needs of the project, introduce the research of the multi-controller multi-axis synchronous technology based on SIMOTION D435. Based on this technology, we design the control system of multi-direction irregular wave maker which composed by6Siemens SIMOTION D435controllers,160SINAMICS S120drives,160high-power synchronous servo motors and other terminal module, for the purpose that all the wave-boards can synchronously move with their own independent running track. Then give the statement that the mainly work that have been done in the process of design the control system, including select the equipment, construct the system hardware, do the hardware and network configuration under the Siemens SCOUT platform, achieve the synchronization of all the controllers via PROFIBUS-DP interface, make all motors among the controllers can synchronously start, and transmit data from higher PC to lower controller. Finally, I do some test on the performance of the wave maker system to test whether the data transmission is right or not and the synchronization of wave maker, at the same time get some satisfied experimental data that can verify the feasibility of using the multi-controller multi-axis synchronous technology to the multi-direction irregular wave maker.The achievement for designing the wave maker system based on the multi-controller multi-axis synchronization technology provides strong theoretical basis for the development of multi-direction irregular wave maker.
