Body area network(BAN) is a new miniature wireless sensor network technology,which has attracted wide attention via its wide applications and practical features. BANnot only can be used in ways of entertainment, its development can also solve problemssuch as the uneven distribution of medical resources, large-scale physiologicalparameters collection and the early detection of chronic health problems. However,because some of BAN is hard to achieve, the development of theories about BAN ismuch more faster than the design and implementation of actual BAN system.For this circumstance, the implementation of BAN system through the integrationof existing technology is particularly necessary. This paper design the BAN system toaccomplish targets such as net’s build, nodes’ join, data collection and deliver to theupper computer through aspects of hardware, software and network’s administration.The system has the following two characteristics.Firstly, the system is built by ZigBee technologies, and it not only can improve thesystem’s reliability but also makes the system more cheap. It’s also suitable forlong-term and large-scale use because its characteristic of highly approximate to BANstandard.Secondly, a conflict problem solve mechanism designed by this paper is used inthis system. The mechanism has the following four functions: analysing and solvingthe conflict between end nodes; reducing the power consumption of system byextending the interval between end nodes’ work-time; proving the mechanism’sfeasibility and effectiveness through simulation; proposing a way to determine thenodes’ work-time through existing data.The main work of this paper can be described as follows:Firstly, summarizing the characteristics of IEEE802.15.6’s PHY layer and MAClayer, and comparing the differences between ZigBee and IEEE802.15.6standard.And making a conclusion that BAN can be set up by modifying ZigBee technology.Secondly, determining the functional requirements and the system configurationof network system of BAN. Determining the precept of system’s implement bycomparing existing Zigbee’s technologies and researching information about humanphysiological sensor. Planning the system implement steps in accordance with thescheme and device characteristics.Thirdly, achieving the network system of BAN, and this part of work can beseparated into the following two aspects. For the part of hardware: designing anddrawing circuit of end nodes and sink node; selecting and buying components used in the system and making the nodes. For the part of software: designing and programmingthe nodes’ join mechanism and ensuring the flow of nodes’ communication; designingand programming the nodes’ system by functions and mechanism provided by Z-Stack,and accomplished functions the system plan to have.
