Estimate aerial warfare system ability including the primary causation as follow; discover the aim’s ability, findable area, and discoverable probability. Quickly target search, scan and location on airborne sight-stabilizing platform are needed in promoting armed helicopter combination property which adapt the new battlefield environment situation. It is very important in the helicopter filed, especially, battlefield investigate, search and rescue in the sea, anti-terrorism, fast minesweeping and multi-platform consociations battle. but the automate level of present staring type stabilized platform is too low at the present time. The target search and scan depend on manual operate the tower. So it is inefficient.The laser which is installed on the helicopter detect the aim in the sea, for example, how find the aim quickly is very important, so this paper takes an airborne sight-stabilizing as a research object, and mainly study on quickly large area target search, small zone scan and precision location. Firstly, the basic operating principle of sight-stabilizing system servo-control is represented in this paper. Secondly, methods of large area target search are analyzed, and a kind of parameter which measures to search efficiency is defined and simple optimized. And design the servo-control software. Finally, the quickly scan algorithm for airborne sight-stabilizing in appointed area is brought out, and the different characteristics between helixes scanning and rectangle scanning are analyzed relatively. The methods have been simulated in software develops environment and laboratory environment. The analogy analysis also has been made by consulting the experiment data of other sight-stabilizing system. Search the immobile aim used the rule research efficiency quickly and Search the mobile aim used the stochastic research quickly by the study. The target location and scanning algorithm in this paper provides a feasible schedule for an important technique development item. All methods also can be used for other sight-stabilizing system.
