Assure the implementation of requirements and the consistency before and after the ontology evolution already gradually become the research hotspot of current ontology evolution. In these studies considered the problems of ontology to external dependence, search space huge, solution space immense and et al, but attention little on maintain maximum degree of ontology downsize and perfect after ontology evolution. But, maximum downsizing and perfect of ontology determines the maintenance burden of external applications system, because the ontologies external service is depend on ontologies, every minor tweaks of ontology are likely to cause external dependence service bigger change, and this can lead to greatly increasing of external dependence system’s maintenance costs.Therefore, the paper proposes a method can maximum downsize and perfect maintenance of ontology, which is called domain ontology evolution method, based on user’s retrieval and weighted technology. Using Tea pests ontology constructed by myself as an example, analyzed the characteristics of the Tea pest domain ontology, and proved applicability and efficiency of the proposed method in this paper.The main study content in this paper as follows:1. Put forward a domain ontology evolution method which is based on user’s retrieval and weighted technology, using retrieval degree and weights these two factors to restrain the evolution of ontologies2. Researched the consistency of the ontology and gave ontology consistent constraint conditions, proposed a before detect consistency mechanism to detecting the consistency of the Tea pests ontology3. Implemented the Tea pests ontology evolution validation system, and proved the applicability and effectiveness of the evolution theory and method proposed in the paperThe paper research based on user’s retrieval and weighted technology of domain ontology evolution method using in the Tea pests domain ontology, downsized and perfected the Tea pests domain ontology, make it can achieve maximum degree of reuse and sharing, save external service for ontology dynamic change and produce corresponding change costs. To further research of other agricultural domain ontology evolution provided the feasible methods and certain research enlightenment, and it has certain academic value and research significance.
