As is known to all, animation is a prevalent art. Although animation industry has been developing rapidly in the world around, the traditional technology and the dated concept of production in some ways limit its development in China. The rough quality, long development cycle and so on are all the problems we confront with. Consequently this subject aims at the research of resources reuse and costing save with the powerful advantages of three-dimensional game engine, studying engine animation creation process with focuses on the method of combining the disciplines engine animation creation process.The innovation of this subject is a new useful exploration to three-dimensional animation technology. Animation and games are two different areas, the development of computer graphics is an opportunity to promote a combination of both.Based on the basic knowledge about animation design and game development-related,this paper analyses and make comparison of both similarities and differences, and comes up with innovative thinking of making bold use of development tools for game design animation.Traditional animation is a very time-consuming way, and an excellent animation work often requires a lot of professionals and expensive electronic equipment through a long development cycle.Through the research and the analysis, the game engine for game-developing platform for the field of animation is a new tool, have the following advantages:1.putting model resources in an important position with short development cycle;2.Animation prototype can be installed intuitively; S.outputing instant render doesn’t need professional workstation.Issues for game engine mechanism and the structure of traditional animationproduction methods, combined with a large number of experimental programs and related exploration, this paper makes a original animation example called "The farthest journey " by using Torque game engine for the purpose of manifesting the whole procedure.To sum up in three stages:preparation, interim design and post-production.This article breaks down the various steps in detail and is focused on scene parameter control data block,camera-bit data blocks and scene-transitions block which is playing a key role to complete the subject.Although the engine animation needs to be improved in rendering fineness, the value and accessibility of this technique is very high, and leaves the creator enough space to express.Finally, this paper puts forward the disadvantages of the animation after the summary, and look forward to further research and discussion which directs at these disadvantages.
