With more and more application of the UHF RFID system, our researchers have paid a lot of attention on it. But as now, most of the research is focus on the design of digital baseband and Radio Frequency circuit. This thesis discusses the architecture of the UHF RFID system, which is based on EPC Global Class 1 Generation 2 protocol, and does research on the software analysis and designing. This thesis also dose deep analysis on the anti-collision algorithm of UHF RFID system.First, this thesis briefly introduces the working principle of UHF RFID reader and analyzes the current design scheme on the market. Then the thesis designs a UHF RFID system whose Radio Frequency circuit is realized by discrete component and using FPGA to do the baseband work and the whole system is controlled by a MCU.Then, the thesis formulates the data frame of SPI communication protocol and UART communication protocol. Furthermore, the thesis gives the software architecture of the MCU and its work flow. The identity management of the system is test, and the result is detailedly analysized.Besides, the thesis gives the detail designing report about the PC software and also shows the software function and its data processing. At the same time, the thesis realizes all those functions are tested and packaged the PC software’s interface into API for secondary development.Without those architecture realizing and testing, the thesis deeply studies the EPC Global Class1 Generation2 protocol and the adaptive anti-collision Q-algorithm for RFID system. With the analysis of Poission algorithm and least estimation algorithm, the thesis proposes a novel algorithm called fast convergence adaptive Q-algorithm based on the singleton slots. The algorithm is detailedly reported for its realization and simulation report based on Matlab. The results shows that the new algorithm’s the system throughput can improve to 33% which theoretically equals 36.8%,which is better than Poission algorithm and least value estimation algorithm.
