With the development of the broadcasting industry and the telecommunications industry, the demand of satellite communications is growing. Portable satellite communication earth station also been widely used. The monitoring system is an important part of the earth station, with the development of the mobile terminal, people are not satisfied with the traditional running platform, in light of this, we designed and developed this Monitor and Control System in Satellite on the Android platform.This thesis taking into accounts the actual demand, and combines with the mobile platform and wireless communication technology. Beginning with the requirements and analysis, we build model and determine the overall architecture for the system, then the thesis give the system object model and software architecture diagram, finally, thesis discuss and select the spiral model as our system development model. Introducing the development process, we first discuss the key technologies related to data communication and Android development, and then introduce and analysis each module detailly. The system uses the MVC design pattern, so we can make our design ideas more clearly and low coupling and good maintenance.The main function of the monitoring system is providing a concise graphical user interface; users are able to accomplish the whole seeking progress conveniently. We mainly have completed the parameter settings, including position location, wireless management, and theoretical calculations, and automatic and manual seeking satellite operation, and database.The development of the system mainly uses the Java language.
