With the rapid increase of Network mobile terminal users, how to guarantee the security ofusing network terminal in mobile environment becomes a hot issue for research. HIP is acomprehensive solution to solve efficiently the issues both in mobility and in security, but HIP’smobility management implementation mechanisms is inefficient. Therefore, researching on theimplementation mechanisms of HIP mobility management has practical values. There are some problems in handover processing of existing HIP protocol, such as too manysignaling overheads, long handover latency and high packet loss. These problems make HIP hard tomeet the demands for mobile communication services, especially for real-time application. Inorder to solve the problem of too many signaling overheads, this thesis analysis HIP-basedmicro-mobility management mechanism, and applys the hierarchical network architecture to HIPmobility management; In order to reduce the handover lantency, this thesis uses the thought of FastMobile IPv6(FMIPv6), and introduces the link triggered mechanism and fast binding updatemechanism, while, in order to prevent the waste of resources in case of rollback of mobile hostwhich has finished the fast binding update, the new mechanism designs a rollback mechanism. Inorder to solve the problem of high packets loss, the new mechanisms introduces packet cachingmechanism. This thesis simulates the implementation mechanisms of existing HIP mobility managementunder HIPSim++, which is a HIP simulation framework in the OMNeT++simulation environment. It gets the simulation results of F-HHIP mechanisms according to the simulation results ofimplementation mechanisms of traditional HIP’s mobility management and the theoretical analysis. This thesis compares the performance of the mobility management implementation mechanism ofexisting HIP and F-HHIP from the aspects of handover latency, packet loss and the signalingoverheads. The result shows that F-HHIP mechanism has a better performance.
