Target Tracking, And Navigation Information With Screen Display Technology Research

The technology of image tracking is the key technology of TV seeker. Meanwhile, it’s also the hotpot of the study of compute vision. The present study investigated the technology of image tracking and the on-screen display of navigation messages for low-cost TV seeker. Main work is arranged as follows:Firstly, this thesis designs the hardware of the image processing hardware based on SCM, OSD generator and DSP chip TMS320DM642. In the image processing system, the DSP chip DM642was used to realize the object tracking algorithm, and the OSD generator is used to complete the character-overlapping work.After that, based on the research of basic correlation matching algorithm, the improved algorithm was realized in DM642. The program of video capture and display and the program of UART data transmission in DM642was designed and illustrated. To realize the OSD of the messages about target position and tracking status and the tracking frame and cross, the library of the characters for navigation messages was designed, and the program of SPI communication and the program of character-overlapping was designed and illustrated.At last, function modules of the hardware platform were tested and a tracking experiment was implemented to a model car that moves irregularly in the ground in order to confirm the feasibility of system. The result indicated that the system designed can complete the image tracking and character-overlapping correctly. This thesis has laid the groundwork for engineering applications of low-cost TV seeker.
