Manufacturing Execution System (MES) is the business-oriented shop floor management information system. It is the bridge between program management and bottom control, and plays an important role in increasing production efficiency, improving product quality, shortening manufacturing cycle, reducing manufacturing costs as well as increasing the whole benefit of enterprise information etc.. Currently, MES is imperiously demanded in vast discrete manufacturing enterprises. However, our country has not gotten breakthrough in MES project quality control of discrete manufacturing at present. The present situation is long project implementation cycle, high cost, difficult to achieve quality objectives and high failure rate. This paper discussed and researched in the MES project quality control of discrete manufacturing, taking the MES project of HT company as the background and combining with advanced project management idea.Firstly, this paper discussed the content, function and the relationship with software project quality management of software project quality control based on the analysis research current situation of domestic and foreign software project quality management and control technology.After that, it divided all phases of software project quality control, and put forward a total life-cycle quality control system for software project.Then, aiming at the characteristics of each phase of total life cycle for discrete manufacturing MES project including demand analysis phase, design stage, development stage, implement stage and maintenance stage, the paper analyzed the factors influencing project quality control during different phases, and proposed the project quality control technology and management methods which were able to suitable for the different phases.Finally, on the basis of the above discussed theories and technologies, the above techniques and methods were applied in the whole process of MES system project life cycle in HT company, and the good application effect were achieved.
