With the triple play and technology of communication innovating, the status quo is aone-way access network of radio and television transmission technology can not meet thedemand for Interactive TV, Data, Voice, VPN Multi-service. Telecommunications IPTVtechnology chosen for the access methods, packages cheaper is impact of cable TV traditionalbusiness. So CATV operators must upgrade through the network, to build the next generationof radio and television business access network, and improve network multi-service accesscapability to deal with intense competition.of the triple play.Upgrading of radio and television access network must comply with the technicalintegration, network integration, business integration and terminal fusion. EPON is acombination of the advantages of the optical networking and Ethernet technology, maturetechnology, high-bandwidth, easy maintenance, and good scalability characteristics. EPONhave become the mainstream of the current FTTX access networks change technology. Radioand television operators is the long-term focus on the construction of the HFC networkconstructing and have a bulky coaxial cable access network of coaxial cable up to5-1000MHz bandwidth. However, the coaxial cable access network has not been fully utilized.How to the combination of the EPON Shinkansen high-speed transmission and the advantagesof the coaxial cable and flexible access and achieve network reconstruction cost bearer serviceoptimization become a major topic of radio and television operators.This paper analyzes the status quo broadcast television network architecture, problems,development for the next generation of broadcast television technology and applications.From construction costs, construction difficulty, and elected to such aspects in-depth analysisand comparison of CMTS+CableModem, EPON+LANand EPON+EoC three mainstreambroadcast television network upgrading technology. EPON+EoC is more suitable for buildingthe next generation of radio and television business access network. Achieve an in-depthstudy of EPON+EoC technology principle and implementation, including the keytechnologies of EPON multi-point control protocol and dynamic bandwidth allocation theEoC many modulation. Combined with Actual engineering applications of broadcast television network, the paper proposed EPON+EoC technology of OLT, ONU and EoClocation of deployment, port configuration, performance, configuration requirements andODN design the EoC transmission distance design, access the coax network design, PONprotection design EPON+EoC network design principles. Finally, introduce pilot projectapplication instance of Zhuhai Doumen EPON+EoC what I participated in the design andsummarize problems of the EPON+EoC program.
