To accelerating the process of urbanization, more and more high-rise buildingshave been built. The elevator is for high-rise building transportation service equipment,it has the travelling speed fast, safe and reliable, simple and convenient operatingexcellence.The role of the elevator as a vertical transport is also growing. The relaycontrol is the most traditional way of a control in the elevator industry. The relayscontrol system has many shortcomings and deficiencies,such as high failure rate,maintenance inconvenient, large energy consumption, programming tedious. Departurefrom the demand of the people on the elevator, the system will gradually be eliminated.From the people to the elevator to meet the needs of this system has been can’t satisfythe People’s Daily needs, will gradually be eliminated.Programmable logic controller (PLC) is used in the five-story elevator controlsystem, such control easy programming, easy to maintain, strong anti-interference,and security stability. Greatly improve the elevator safety, comfort, flexibility andmaintainability, shorten the development cycle of the elevator, and at the same time,reduce the loss of the lift. PLC control system as the elevator control to meet thedemand of the people to reliability, safety, comfort, and has become a developmenttrend of today ’s elevator control system.PLC elevator control is mainly reflected in its logic switching and controlfunctions. The PLC has a logic operation, counting and timing, as well as data inputand output functions. In elevator control process, the various logical switch control agood combination with the PLC,which achieve a good control of the elevator. Thisdesign in the original elevator control mode, perfect the hall calls, refers to the layer,select the layer, choose to, and other functions, than the original control system can bemore easy to achieve more complex control tasks. Thereby, it can reduce the elevatorenergy consumption, improve the work efficiency of the elevator, and further enhancethe market competitiveness.Design first introduced the five-story structure and working principle of theelevator. Then draw ladder and wiring diagram according to the the PLC type and I/O Allocation Table Third,design instruction program to achieve the elevator refers layercontrol and layer selection option.Last instruction program, select the function of theselected layer selected to enter the bench, and experimental results verify that thedesign is feasible.
