With the development of the internal network technology and advanced communication technologies, e-commerce (electronic commerce) has been widely applied in the enterprise, e-commerce system growing range of applications, its architecture’s flexibility, scalability, and maintainability determine the method of developing e-commerce system can not be in accordance with the traditional analysis method. It is more critical that how system analysts, customers, programmers and other developers organize the system design process through mutual understanding and coincident way. So, how develop efficient and practical e-commerce system through applying a unified analysis and design methods, which has become an urgent important subject.Based on UML combining with the two-dimensional development way of RUP (Rational Unified Process), the dissertation puts forward a specific modeling process of e-commerce system, that is used in the construction of Nanchang University "online mall"; In view of the massive historical orders which were accumulated in a long time, it proposes an idea that using the data mining method based on association rules to analyze the goods orders. The main point is as follows:1. Combining the kernel workflow of RUP and the UML chart, it analyzes the system development process based on UML and proposes the modeling process of the e-commerce system for the architectural features. UML is only a modeling language and independent of the process. With the above, because of the architectural features of the e-commerce system, it presents the modeling process of e-commerce system based on UML with the RUP as guides. The process is followed:requirement analysis (?)requirement modeling(?)static structure modeling(?)dynamic structure modeling(?) database modeling(?)physics modeling.2. Using the Rational Rose2003as modeling tool, it builds the system model of the online mall of Nanchang University based on the e-commerce modeling process. Through the requirement analyse, it firstly determines the boundary of the system and functional modules.Uses use case diagrams to capture needs of each functional module to establish system’s demand model; Use the class diagram of the analytical class to describe the each function to build system static structure model; Use sequence diagram and activity diagrams to describe specific object interaction of work based on time to bulid system dynamic structural model; Use class diagram to map relational database to realize system database model; Use component diagram and deployment diagram system shows the physical architecture of the system to realize system implementation model.3. Given the "online mall" accumulated a large number of customer orders, using association rules to analysis to the history orders, could mine the potential demand of the customers, so that it completes the analysis and design of the system "Order Analysis function". Based on data gathered in the customer history order, use the association rules to find the relations of goods purchased by the customer, which could guide decision-making, improve the quality of their services.
