In recent years, passive location technology is more and more attended by people. On the military, it is undoubtedly a very good complement of the radar, because it does not transmit signals, relying on the received signal to determine the target’s position, it will not be disturbed and attacked, and even not be detected. Therefore, passive location technology has become the most important electronic countermeasure technologies.As an important part of the signal processing, high-resolution direction of arrival estimation technique has a promising perspective in many fields such as communication and radar, with the development of the microelectronic and digital techniques. The dissertation studies the theories of high-resolution DOA (Direction Of Arrival) estimation for signal processing. The main results and achievements are summarized as follows:This paper uses a five dipoles circular array as model to analyze the principle of correlative interferometer direction finding. Meanwhile, it also illuminates the calculation for DOA. Theoretical analysis and simulation show that the algorithm can significantly improve the DOA estimation performance. The results indicate that the method is adaptable, computing lessly, high precision and suitable for hardware implementation.For the characteristics of ADI TigerSHARC processor, the signal processing system consisting of4ADSP-TS101s is put forward. The connecting way among each DSP and data transmission and software control are analyzed. The system is well applied to signal processor, accomplishing low-pass filtering, phase and correlation, etc. The main realizing method is analyzed and the amount of computation is estimated. The result indicates that the system is not only feasible, but also simple and easy to be realized, and has powerful processing capability.
