As a main theme for the educational reform and development of the21th Century, education informationization has become a hot topic. Since the expanded enrollment for higher education multiples university students, how to make full use of scarce teaching resources, increase their utilization rate, and conduct standard information management, scientific statistics and rapid inquiry has become a focus for educational administration and even for the management of the whole university. Under the background of rapid development in internet technology, making full use of internet to provide a complete service interface is an important issue for us to research and realize.With the reform and construction of education informationization in Liaoning Business Vocational College as background, this thesis designs and realizes a teaching management information system. This system adopts the three-layer frame system of B/S mode and.NET framework, using C#language and SQL Server2005database management system with object-oriented programming ideas, providing6modules of student management, teacher management, curriculum management, performance management, teaching material management and online exam to the users. With this system, the efficiency of teaching management in the college is improved, the staff burden is reduced, and various teaching resources are made use of in a rational and effective way.First of all, this thesis introduces the development background and practical significance of this system, describing the application status of teaching management system home and abroad. Then the needs analysis of the college’s teaching management is made, the workflow of the college is described, and the demands for the functions and performance of the system are obtained. A general design objective and program are proposed upon demand analysis, and the function modules are divided, to complete the logical design of database. In the detailed design and realization part of this thesis, the database is realized first and the main storage process is defined for the usage of the program. Then the detailed design and realization process of all the function modules is described, and genetic algorithm is used to fulfill the curriculum scheduling function in the curriculum management module. Finally, testing of the system is conducted, and the prospect for further study is proposed.
