The warm air heater is a kind of heating equipment which burns light diesel oil or natural gas to provide warm air for camping tent of authorities, field hospital, confidential communications, maintenance department and other departments or other temporary housing.It can also be used in fixed camps. Except for heating, it can be used for ventilation. Control system, which controls the whole operation process including burner and fans, is the core part of the equipment.Therefore, the design of control system is crucial for the heater equipment.Hardware of the automatic control system is composed of PC and single-chip computer PIC16F876and periphery circuit. The unified management of the warm air heater is realized by PC called epigyny computer through the communication with the hypogyny computer. PIC16F876and periphery circuit realize the function of temperature measurement, displaying and real time controlling of the warm air heater environment parameters. The controller which takes PIC16F876as the core, can realize the monitoring independently in the situation without PC.The control of warm air heater is nonlinear and time-varying. It is difficult to build the math model for the control object, and even can not build. The fuzzy control does not need the math model of object. It utilizes the experiences of experts or the worker to fulfill the better control. The fuzzy control algorithm is introduced to the software design.The communication between the epigyny computer and the hypogyny computer is accomplished by using the ActiveX control named MSComm. In addition, the man-machine interface is designed by VB6.0which makes the procedure simple and clear, providing a friendly direct-viewing management platform for the user.
