ZigBee technology, based on the IEEE802.15.4protocol, is a newly developed short range wireless communication technology with the merits of low distance at comparatively lower data rate. It is a technical proposal between Wireless Mark Technology and Bluetooth. While the ZigBee technology is more and more frequently adopted in application areas like industrial automation, telemetering and remote control, medical treatment, intelligent building and so on, moving objects tracking system based on wireless sensor network becomes a hot topic recently.The thesis, aiming at wireless sensor network, investigates the tracking system. Based on RSSI and location engine, the tacking system is implemented. The system includes three parts:hareware platform preparation, communication program of nodes and PC monitor software. The achievement of every part is clearly introduced in this thesis. The core of hardware platform is CC2430and CC2431. The development of node communication program is based on Z-Stack protocol stack. The thesis goes into details of the nodes communication flow. The implementation methods of different kinds of nodes are given. The PC monitor software is programmed in Visual C++6.0platform. Elaborate solution is proposed in this thesis.In the end, practical test is implemented, aiming at finding the value of A and N. This part analyzes the influence of the different location areas consisted of reference nodes on the accuracy and stability of blind nodes. The conclusion provides the users with reference conditions under different conditions.
