Micro-CT technology combines the characteristics of non-invasive imaging andhigh-resolution of histological detection. According to the tissue density differences, itcan obtain high-spatial-resolution X-ray images in-vivo animals, in-vitro bone tissueand a variety of biological materials without destroying the samples. A further structure,density and mechanical quantitative analysis with good diagnosis results of theosteoporosis can be expanded after obtaining samples’3D images. Due to a strikingcontrast between the bone and soft tissue, Micro-CT is particularly suitable for boneimaging, and has imperative application value in bone diseases examination anddiagnosis.In this paper, self-designed Micro-CT bone analysis software for quantitative bonemineral density measurement and other bone parameters analysis such as trabecularnumbers has been developed. It’s designed with user-friendly software interface andincludes data processing modular and parameters analysis modular to enhance the users’convenience, to reduce processing time, and to improve parameters calculation accuracyduring the whole process from data selection to bone analysis. At last, the effectivenessof the software and the accuracy of the parameter calculation has been verified throughexperimental comparison.With the innovation and improvements of Micro-CT technology, it will promotethe development of orthopedic medical research, and achieve early detection andtreatment of the bone diseases.
