Micro-CT , as one technology of CT ,is known for low-cost, low radiation and high resolution. Bone has a relatively significant difference in attenuation properties with other body tissues when X-ray penetrates them. Therefore, using Micro-CT method to study bone parameters is one of the most important application of Micro-CT. For the practical application of bone analysis based on Micro-CT, this thesis developed a bone analysis system Micro-CT-III and a software processing platform. Using the bone analysis system and software processing platform, we can collect bone data and carry out related analysis.This thesis describes the Micro-CT technology and the background knowledge of bone in the introduction part. Then in the second chapter, the article presents the analysis of Micro-CT and bone. In the second part of thesis, there are analyses of bone data, such as bone mineral content, bone mineral density, trabecular. This study can provide algorithm for bone analysis system. The main innovations of this thesis are the development of the bone analysis system and software design of bone parameters analysis platform.Micro-CT-III system is consisted of X-ray source, rotating stage and image acquisition card. For the require of bone analysis, especially trabecular, we reselect a new image acquisition card,which has a high resolution. In addition, there is a denoising operation during the data preprocessing. Bone analysis software platform is developed in VS2005 environment.It is consisted of data mapping, ROI region selection, segmentation and results output. The design of bone analysis platform based on four principles, which are human interface, data processing module and algorithm accurately. The experiments of bone phantom measuring have verified that bone analysis software platform is stability and reliability.
