With the development of mobile communications, mobile backhaul network for network delay, throughput, network flexibility put forward new demands and challenges, the traditional backhaul network structure can’t meet the high-speed transmission, mobile Internet requirements, especially the rise of LTE technologies, in order to meet the network coverage and high-speed data transmission requirements, IEEE802.11s and WIMAX be in LTE wireless backhaul, so the agreement in the3GPP-LTE, the proposed X2interface between the base station and S1interface between base station and S-GW, introducing the mesh network architecture in the wireless backhaul network. Wireless Mesh Network, also known as wireless mesh networks, developing from ad-hoc network, and in the network, each node has a routing function, can be with one or more peer nodes communicate directly, full-function point composition between the network structure, can communicate with each other without going through the central node. In B3G/4G backhaul applications of LTE, using wireless mesh backbone network architecture, each base station interconnection between nodes connected through the mesh network, complete user access and data returns. This paper for LTE backhaul networks to analyze the structure and characteristics and discussion, combined with the mesh network routing protocol features, mainly to complete the following tasks:1) analysis the structure and routing protocols of mesh network in-depth;2)analysis LTE wireless backhaul network structure, combined with the characteristics of mesh proposed for LTE wireless backhaul network routing protocols;3)simulating the classical routing protocols of mesh network, such as AODV, and obtained routing protocol type which is more suitable for LTE backhaul network;4) designing the routing protocol LQ-HWMP to meet Qos and load balancing requirement of LTE wireless backhaul, HWMP as a base, gives the description of algorithm design and routing process, and finally use the NS2network simulation software to simulate end to end delay and throughput of the network.
