The squint SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar) has the characteristic of all-weather,day/night, long range, and high-resolution. Since the terrain, time and weather have noinfluence on it, the squint SAR has been widely applied in the areas of military and civiland it has brought great benefits in economics and society. So the squint SAR isnecessary to be researched thoroughly. With the development of semiconductortechnology, FPGA (field-programmable gate array) has transcended DSP chips inperformance, cost and efficacy to become the main processor chip in signal processingsystem. With the parallel processing architecture of FPGA, we could achieve a highimprovement in computational efficiency. Therefore, the implement of signal processingalgorithms in FPGA platform is an inevitable trend.The thesis mainly discusses the real-time imaging technology of squint SAR basedon FPGA and DSP. First of all, the thesis introduces the basic principles of SAR and thegeometric model of squint SAR and the R-D algorithm. Second, it introduces thestructure and feature of the signal processing board based on FPGA and DSP anddiscusses the design of the communication interface between the chips in detail. Finally,it introduces the realization of the squint SAR imaging algorithm in the signalprocessing board and gives the result of the processing.
