With the improving of production level and using requirements of special tube,the higher requirements for the precision and speed measurement of its static parametersare raised. Because our current measurement equipment can not meet the demand, it hasgreat value in engineering for us to develop a set of measuring device of special tubestatic parameters which is high in precision, efficiency and automation. This paperpresents some key technology which occurs in the research of the camber of specialtube.Under the research background of artillery curvature measurement system, thispaper studies some details of image measurement technology based on grasping itsmeaning.Firstly, the principle and structure of the researched curvature measurementsystem are introduced, and the key technologies that we faced in the development aresummarized. Secondly, CCD camera nonlinear distortion correction, calibration andpixel equivalent coefficient acquirement are analyzed thoroughly. Lastly, the classicaledge detection algorithm is expounded. According to the particularity of scale imageand extraction, the line/column mean gray fitting algorithm based on compensating andcorrecting suiting to extracting scale scribed line is proposed. Meanwhile, the proposedalgorithm is confirmed through contrast experiment. The result shows that it not only ispracticable and stable, but also improves the precision and speed of scale scribed lineextraction.At last, some problems in the system are in-depth analyzed, and the direction ofthe following research is prospected.
