It is an indispensable step to measure contour of H-pfofield bar during its cutting process. The method of maesuring the section contour based on line structured light principle is studied in this paper.The object section contour measurement technology based on line structured light is one of the most practical non-contact 3D measurement technologies commercially at present. For its advantages, such as simple principle, high precision, easy to obtain the optical strip images and realize automation during measuring process etc. Computer vision based on line structured light is adopted to realize non-contact measurement of H-pfofield bar contour and dimensions.The main research contents involve four parts as following:1. Introducing the triangulation measurement principle. Calculate its ideal geometric projection coordinate conversion and matrix coordinate transformation formula, and matrix coordinate transformation formula with distortion.2. Introducing the selection of image acquisition module and giving all the parameters of the system.3. Describing the image processing procedure after image acquisition. The processing and calculation of line structured light image are two of the most important steps in the whole detection task. This part analyzes image preprocessing, image center line extraction and straight line recognition algorithm in detail, and giving the result after image processing of all the steps.4. System calibration is an essential and very important step before the practical application, and the accuracy of calibration result has a direct impact on the measurement results. Direct Linear Transform (DLT) calibration method is used in this system, after the calibration, we tested the system's measurement repeatability got a good result,also measured one kind of the H-pfofield bar and gave the measure results. In the end, giving a summary for the system and discussed the further improvement of the system.VC is used to do image processing. By theoretical analysis and experiments, the contour and dimension measurement of H-pfofield bar are finished. The results indicated that the accuracy conform to user's requirements.
