White LED has many advantages, such as high luminous efficiency, highluminous intensity, long life period ect, so it is widely applied in lighting field, in orderto make full use of these advantages, LED driver circuit must be designed to matchwith it, thus, white LED driver has achieved a rapid development in the power marketthese years.In this paper the features of LED lighting and the optical properties of LED arefirstly introduced, then considering the application fields,the main demands of ahigh-efficiency LED driver is deduced. Based on these demands, this paper clearlyanalyzes the circuit modules which LED driver should have, furthermore,the designmethods of these modules are also introduced in this paper.In order to improve the design efficiency, independence and integrity arewell-considered in the design process. Firstly,based on theoretical analysis andsimulation,every circuit module is independently designed, then modulation andOptimization of the whole circuit can be carried out after all the circuit modules arefinished,in the end,more suitable parameters can be achieved.
