It is a unique and indispensable way of communications for the power departmentto power-line-carrier con in telecommunications for power communication system. Withthe increasing demands of communication quality and competition of othercommunication technologies, traditional analog devices have been unable to meet thecurrent demand. Therefore, the existing power line carrier systems needed update intechnology. So, in this paper we designed the digital power line carrier communicationsystem and digital multiplexer.In the paper, TMS320C6416T DSP is used as the main processor, and FPGA workas co-processor and controller in the digital hardware platform, that will make thedigital power line carrier replace the traditional analog equipments. Weaver and IWAmethod is used as a single-sideband (SSB) modulation and demodulation algorithm toovercome the impact of carrier synchronization and phase deviation.In this paper wealso discuss and realized the key technologies of the E/M signaling transmission,compander and limiter. We also examined the V.34recommendations of the high bit ratedata transmission technology. The high speed modem technology recommended by theV.34protocol is applied to Multi-channel digital multiplexer, which makes the systemcan transmit multi-channel voice signal and remote data. Its transmission rate can reachup to33.6kbps without increasing the bandwidth.
