The contradiction between the band resources and high-speed data transmissionleads to the study on narrow-band and high-speed system.As a kind of nolinearconstant envelope modulation. The CPM signal has the advantages of high bandwidthutilization and power efficiency for continuous phase. And CPM signal has a certaincoding gain because of its baseband modulator can be considered as a coder.The new synchronization method is based on the zero point of waveform andmatching correlation peak.The character of synchronization waveform is analyzed indetail. Then combined with the result,simulation results show that this method canensure system synchronization performance and reduce the computation at the sametime.Then this paper focused on the performance of the CPM signal,simulate manymethods to improve system performance.An optimization algorithm on Viterbi and BCJR decoding is proposed in this paperin order to reduce the computation. Based on the characteristics of Viterbi and BCJRalgorithm, the simplified algorithm is analysised in detail,includes of its theory,processand so on. Besides the result based on MATLAB,it is also validated based on CCSsoftware platform.The results shows that two methods are useful to practicalapplication and can reduce the complication of algorithm.
