| With energy source crisis and environmental contamination are deterioratingcontinuously, LED(light-emitting diode), has become a new kind of green illuminatingproducts due to its distinct advantages such as environmental, high efficiency, longlifetime, which guidelines the future developing trend of illuminants. It can be foreseenthat21stcentury must be a new age brightened by solid illuminants represented byLEDs. because of LEDs’ feature,a special driven source is needed to provide power forLEDs. The LED driver power supplies are suffered by several problems such asinconsistent quality, low efficiency, low reliability, unacceptable EMC (ElectroMagnetic Compatibility) performance, low life expectancy relative to the lamps. For thelong run, high efficiency, high reliability, small size and precise control are theinevitable requirement of LEDs driver in the future, so research and development ofhigh-power LEDs drivers, compatible with civil electrical system, hold a strongeconomic benefits and practical significance. The paper introduces the development, the technology, production and applicationsituation of LED and the driver which is in recent years, then discussed the existingproblems and application prospect. This paper focuses on the switch power supply EMIfilter, RDC absorption network, the mode of connection and transformer design, andcombining with examples that designed.According to the market demand, the paper designs the XD-180driver for LEDs.In order to improve the stability and load capacity, the driver choose a special modewhich output constant current after stable voltage. The paper designed an EMI filter toreduce the electromagnetic interference, CRM mode PFC and ZCS quad-resonantconverter is used to reach the power factor of0.95and the efficiency of0.9.The driverhas by lightning, over voltage, over current protection, applies to road, scenic spotlighting and other special lighting system. XD-180switching power supply has thecertain reference value to the design of switching power supply for high power LEDs. |
