This subject is from a large-scale system engineering, as the core equipment in the system, for aspects of weight, volume, power consumption etc, small size has been achieved, it shows a great significance to the system development. Structure designs is an important part to the equipment development, advanced CAD technology to successful design provides a reliable guarantee.This paper introduces the recent studies at first, as well as the origin and significance of the project; At first, the electronic equipments structure designs features is introduced, as well as the main contents and key technologies. Secondly, it describes the status of CAD technology development, characteristics and usage of several CAD software mainly used in the paper, the third, as structural design requirements of an electronic equipments, detailed design has been done according to aspects of whole structural design, thermal design, electromagnetic shielding design, and mechanical analysis; Finally, through a variety of experiments, verification to the results of the use of a variety of CAD technology is made, main works to structural design, simulation of airflow and temperature distribution, static stress calculations, and detailed engineering design drawings is completed.The object of this paper is to utilize design and development tools, such as ICEPAK, Solidworks and others, with two-dimensional, three-dimensional, software simulation etc. added, the level of structural design of electronic equipments is improved effectively.
