Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology, as an automatic identification technology, has a rapid development in recent years, and is widely used in the real world of industrial automation, business automation and automatic control, and in some other management areas. RFID technology has several features:it uses the electronic tag, containing digital information, to identify various objects; information can be read and write from the electronic tag by using a non-contact way; security and other characteristics are ensured. This thesis presents the concept of the Virtual RFID Technology. The Virtual RFID Technology is used to real-time and automatically identify, manage and monitor the objects in the virtual digital domain, such as identity information and multimedia documents, likewise, the information security and copyright protection are also considered. This technology and RFID technology have many common features:it uses the virtual electronic tag-multimedia files-containing digital information; information can be read and write from the virtual electronic tag by using mouse to simulate a non-contact way, combined with the operating system; security and other characteristics are ensured.The Virtual RFID Technology needs to meet several needs:the virtual electronic tag reading and writing algorithm should avoid affecting the normal use of the multimedia files; it is guaranteed that there are no errors when reading the digital information from the virtual electronic tag after certain changes or attacks:security, the amount of stored information, processing efficiency and etc are ensured.According to the above needs for the Virtual RFID Technology, this thesis has designed the algorithm of the Virtual RFID Technology. Through the analysis and comparison of related technics, the virtual electronic tag data R/W algorithm is designed based on the multimedia digital watermarking algorithm, to make sure that the normal use of the multimedia files is not affected. Nonetheless, in the multimedia digital watermarking technology, analog images are more usually used as tag data, however, it is difficult to guarantee that there is no errors after certain changes when digital format tag data is embedded, so the virtual electronic tag data processing algorithms are designed to meet the requirements of robustness, including error correction algorithm, data scrambling algorithm and etc. A mechanism is implemented that different segmented data can be accessed according to different permissions, so multi-key encryption algorithm is designed for access control. In addition, a complete security system is designed, to ensure the security of the Virtual RFID Technology, such as counterfeit-resistant, anti-theft, tamper-resistant and etc.Furthermore, the Virtual RFID Technology is achieved in the program, and its feasibility, efficiency and robustness are verified. Finally, the thesis gives an instance of the application of the Virtual RFID Technology-a Virtual RFID Technology based electronic purse system.
