The circuit board is almost used in across the various areas of people’s lives. With the developing of science and technology, the welding technology of the plug-in circuit board is continuely improved. Currently,the two matured ways of welding are the wave soldering and dip soldering. The efficiency of the wave soldering machine is higher, it can achieve more boards welding at the same time.. However, because of the higher price,it is not sought after by the majority of SMEs.The dip soldering machine has high cost performance. It is widely used in a number of small and medium-sized enterprises, because of its small volume, easy to use, simple in structure, easy to maintain and conserve, as well as good welding quality, etc. According to actual needs of the enterprise, basing on the research situation on dip welding machine in China, we designed a type of intelligent circuit board dip welding machine. The system uses a rotary station, it has a lot of advantages, for example it has small size,it is highly automated, and it is easy to operate as well as good reliability. The machine conforms to the reality needs, so it has the very good practical application value.This paper firstly summarizes the welding technology development present situation at home and abroad, and the research of related products. And then we put forward the design scheme of this system. The mechanical structure design of this system are introduced in detail, including the mechanical arm and main girder of the dip welding machine, PCB racks, scraping the tin structure. Compared with other dip welding machines, a major feature of the system is its part of the solder liquid level detection using the self-regulation approach, largely to improve the degree of automation of the system. The system adopts rotary workstation, using both pneumatic and electric drive mode, So the system application is more flexible. Finally this paper discusses the hardware and software design of this system circuit, and the simulation debugging of the structural part. The results show that:The system is reliable, it can achieve anticipated design requirements.
