Radio frequency identification is becoming increasingly mature with the development of computing technology, communication technology and sensor technology as the underlying information collection equipment of the internet of things. RFID technology has been widely used in US military logistics support system, especially in special materials for system, material transportation monitoring system, single pawn identity information identification card, single pawn vital signs detector, military equipment replenishment and so on. At present, our army is at a critical period by the comprehensive mechanization to the information construction, security and stability is the key of work force. So the information management of soldier and military vehicle and the monitoring and positioning of important military goods and materials based on radio frequency identification is far-reaching significance for strengthening scientific management of troops and quicken information construction of military camp.The text introduces overseas and domestic research status about RFID, and described its technical characteristic and standard setting in detail. It points out the research significance through summarize the application area of RFID. RFID location technique is mainly used in the location indoor. It compares technical features of various locations indoor, and expounds basic principles of physics about signal propagation of RFID. To comb the inductive locating method indoor and list the specific positioning scheme of RFID based on analysis of various kinds of positioning methods, which provides a theoretical support for subsequent application system development design. The text introduces the working principle and feature of RFID and then analyzes the function needs of the application system about the information management of soldier and military vehicle and the monitoring and positioning of important military goods and materials based on radio frequency identification. And then establishes the system function model and the system communication model of hardware. At last, it elaborates the specific function realization of the application system based on the system function model and communication model.
