Design And Realization Of End User Archive And Restore Based On Sharepoint

With the rapid development of electronic technology and the wide application ofinformation technology, the SharePoint has been favored by many large and medium-sizedenterprises. Through the use of the SharePoint, people can improve team’s work efficiency,and accelerate the sharing of data between enterprises. In today’s information age, SharePointhas been recognized by more and more users around the world. However, with the widelyapplication of the SharePoint, SharePoint user is increasing, and the SharePoint databasesstore the increasingly accumulated data, which makes the SharePoint database available spacebecome smaller and smaller, bringing the SharePoint user a lot of inconvenience. Therefore, itis necessary to archive the data in SharePoint which is not often used, leaving more storagespace to store the new data for the SharePoint. One of the great things of SharePoint is that wecan freely add functionality to SharePoint. Therefore, this article puts forward an archive andrestore solution for end users, which realize the SharePoint end user backup and restore,making the end user directly implement the SharePoint data backup and restore on theSharePoint platform, so as to save the storage space of the SharePoint.The design and implementation of end user archive and restore is mainly introduced inthis paper. Combined with the function of system, the whole system can be divided into fourmodules: end user backup module, end user search module, end user restore module, and enduser permissions control module. The end user backup module achieves the function ofarchiving data at all levels on the SharePoint for the end users; The end user search moduleachieves the function that searching the SharePoint data which has been archived for the endusers; The end user restore module achieves the function that restoring the SharePoint datawhich has been archived for the end users; The end user permissions control module achievesthe control of data backup, view, restore permissions for the end users.SharePoint End User Archive&Restore provides a backup and restore solution for endusers. The system not only allows end users to archive data, but also provides the end userfunction of searching and restoring data which has been archived. When it comes to thebackup and restore solution previously, the user only can execute operation of backup andrestore of SharePoint data through the developing system and need to set some rules to realizethe specific level data backup. However, the system innovation is that the end users candirectly realize data backup and restore operation on the SharePoint platform. No need to set a rule, just need to select a particular data. It is greatly convenient for end users to manage theSharePoint data. This paper analyzes the demand of the system, and has carried on the designand implementation of each function module. In the process of implementation, it iscombined with a lot of technologies such as Web Part, the Master Page and ASP.NET. Finallythrough the system test, the feasibility and the security of the system has been fully verified.
