In recent years,our country’s telecommunications operators go on the track ofintensive management gradually,which raises a claim of centralized maintenance andmanagement of the communication device and the environment,so that leads a trendof centralized control or unattended operation.And the significant development ofpower source technology along with the widespread use of Computer relatedtechnology in the field of communication and power supply provides correspondingtechnical conditions to realize centralized control of the communication device andthe environment timely.This paper studies the existing problems in motor room, and formulate severalmonitoring contents as follows.(1) The transformation equipment of high and low level;(2) The working state of battery;(3) AC/DC conversion equipment;(4) Uninterruptible DC power supply system;(5) The air quality in motor room(temperature,humidity, dust, etc.).This paper accomplished several aspects surrounding above contents asfollowed.1. Acquaintanced the general conditions of the motor room,mainly about themonitoring system’s composition, structure, real-time monitoring and automaticcontrol of power supply and air quality.Also put forward the design to monitor motorroom based on existing equipments.2. Analyzed the key technology of monitoring system,designed the systemhardware, completed equipment selection on the basis of the work above.3. Designed the software system consists of calling software,real-timemonitor,administrator tools,business management platform and database software etc.The research results in this paper have been practically applicated in the networkof my work unit.By analysis and process of the data collected by the monitoringsystem in motor room and eliminate the potential failure which changed passivemaintenance way into Active monitoring method, the work efficiency will be greatlyimproved.
