The relationship between the people and the media is a concerning topicin modern society, especially entering the era of electronic media, the impact ofthe media on people is deepening. The emergence of the electronic media isan unprecedented change in the history of human communication. Whilechanging the mode of transmission and the spread morphology, it is alsoimperceptible to change people’s way of life. We use the media to completedaily work, at the same time; the media has also become our closest livingpartner. Mobile phone24hours on the side, the computer assist in8hours ofwork time, television occupy the free time off work. In addition to sleeping,modern people is in dealing with media by most of the time. In media society,the media provides people a lot of convenience, but it also brings someconfusion, just like Bob Dylan in "Like a Rolling Stone" sung “How does itfeel?To be without a home,Like a complete unknown,Like a rolling stone?”The surface of the noisy and prosperous cannot hide the loneliness andconfusion behind. Media development brings positive influence for theprogress of the society, but at the same time it produces some negative factorson people’s lives. The negative impact is not so much brought about by themedia, as it is human beings did not correctly handle media relations results.So this article will investigate the relationship between people and media fromthe following four aspects.The first section summarizes the media interdependence under themodern view. In modern society, it is impossible to get rid of the media; themedia has been internalized as part of modern life. Therefore put forward theconcept of media interdependence. We also distinguish betweeninterdependence and traditional dependence. Put forward the characteristics of media interdependence, and further define the scope of mediainterdependence in this paper.The first section explores the cause of the modern people’s mediainterdependence. Firstly, people’s interdependence of media depends on thelevel of development of the media. From the historical changes of people andmedia relations found that greater interdependence of the trend of media. Atthe same time the media cater to the consumer pleasure of the audience, andit is social basis for existence. Finally, the psychological mechanism of theinterdependence of human media, and the media meets the psychologicalneeds of the audience.The third part mainly from three aspects discusses problems existing inthe modern people’s media interdependence. The first as for the long time inthe medium of virtual survival state causes people the transmission of socialanxiety disorder. People Immerse virtual life, neglect of the reality of humanrelationships, and lose of social communication capacities. The second is thatmodern internal colonization. In the process of using electronic media, peopleshowed traditional dependence on media, addiction, and paralysis of the state.This is a process of gradually deepening, also makes people and mediarelations into a misunderstanding. Finally, through anonymous communicationand deception, mob spoof culture and entertainment to death such as thesephenomena make people lose the authenticity of ourselves.The fourth section examines the prospects for the development of thepeople and media relations in future society. Future society people shouldcorrectly handle the relationship between the virtual world and the real world.The purpose of using the media replaces its instrumental to achieve the statusof symbiotic relationship with the media, to realize the full and freedevelopment of the people.
