Development Of The Wearable Social Network Device

The wearable social network device integrates wearable computing and wireless personal area network tecnology to create a platform for wireless social interactive network base on location. This device could automaticly exchange interested social information without intervention of users and extract new social relationship from people pass by.Inspired by people’s demand for wearable social network devices and disadvantages of current technology on ramdon encounter communication, a scheme of device for wireless communication applications which are not real time restricted and spending most of time in finding other devices is proposed.After analysis the power-saving character of wearable computer and wearable community, a new power-saving algorithm to find other networks is designed. The relation between energy consumption and timing constraint is discussed. To exchange information effectively, a dynamically synchronous information spread mechanism for information spread in network is proposed using multicast and unicast.The software platform is builded and general USB communication programs between upper computer and lower computer are implemented including firmware program of USB devices, windows driver program, cross-platform invoke program and client program. Two test applications are designed. Paper also gives the details of important hardware circuits and design procedure. Result of test applications shows the device and network mechanism work well, comfirming the feasibility of the scheme.
