Analysisi Of Press Activity By Sun Yat-sen Before Wuchang Uprising

On November10th1911, the breakout of Wuchang uprising fired the first bullet of the Revolution of1911, thus causing the end of feudal rule of Qing Dynasty. Wuchang uprising wavered and faltered the rotten rule of Qing Dynasty, forced Emperor Puyi to abdicate in the following year, made an end to feudal monarchy that had rule China for more than two thousand years and horn the trumpet of the birth of a republic. After Wuchang uprising, the insurrectionary army established HuBei Military Government, which was the embryonic form of republic soverignty and lay the foundation for the breakout of the Revolution of1911and the establishment of Republic of China.Sun Yat-sen spent his life in the cause to establish the democratic and republic country. He was not only an distinguished capitalist revolutionist but also an excellent press activitist and propagandist. Before the Revolution of1911, Sun Yat-sen participated in all kinds of press activities to propagate revolution directly or indirectly. All his efforts pushed the historical process of revolution, and originated the revolutionized press thoughts, which left the rich spiritual wealth and influenced a lot in in the history of Chinese press.In the way of referring to certain historical materials and researching the press activities by Sun Yet-sen before the breakout of the Revolution of1911, combining with the theories of communication studies to analyze the press cause of bourgeoisie revolution led by Sun Yet-sen, this article intends to discuss the inner relationship between Sun Yet-sen’s press activities and the condition causing the breakout of the Revolution of1911.
