The traditional quality detection method of ampoules solution used artificiallight detection, and checking whether there is visible foreign matter in solutionthrough the visual, this method has not meet the efficient inspection requirements ofpharmaceuticals industry for modernization. In recent years, the technologies for thefull-automatic detection of visible foreign matter in ampoules solution based onsequncial images have been a hotspot. There are three big problems needed to beresolve on full-automatic detection,the first is how to get high quality sequncialimages, the second is the accuracy of particle detection and visible foreign matterdecision on sequncial images is low,the last is the detection efficiency andpracticability of detecting system is poorer.According to the above three problems, this article first proposed an acquisitionmethod of sequncial images based on laser scattering, it makes all particles in solutionappear in the region of CCD image sensor vision through the control of parameters onspin and stop, and enhances scattering energy of the particles in the images by thecontrol of lasering illumination,then improve the SNR of images. Second, designed acomplete detecting process about visible foreign matter, and the process mainlyinclude the following image processing link:(1) the median filter to sampled sequenceimages in ampoules solution,calculating the maximum odd-even frame images byparity frame difference method and then differencing the two frame, to strengthen thescattering energy of particles in sequncial images;(2)according to the lightingdistribution of the source device to ampoules,thresholding particle image by nonlinearnormal distribution threshold value method;(3)puting forward eight neighborhoodboundary tracking algorithms to get particle size (4)calculating50μm particlesscattering energy as the threshold of visible foreign matter through a lot of40μm and60μm standard particles to least square linear fitting, comparing the size of detectingparticles with the threshold, then detecting the visible foreign matter. Finally, basedon the above research, designed and achieved a complete automatic detection softwaresystem for visible foreign matter in ampoules solution,this system has set up to theactual detecting instrument and equipment.The main contribution of this paper is puting forward a high quality sequenceimage acquisition method based on laser scattering method,designed a complete detecting process for visible foreign matter in ampoules and the key image processingalgorithms,realized a software system of complete function and high efficiency ofdetection.The theory simulation and system measured data analysis results show thatthe detecting process for visible foreign matter in ampoules based on laser scatteringmethod and the core image processing algorithm have low complexity,the miss ratecan amount to0%in ideally;The software system for detecting has higher practicalvalue.
