The Core Technology Research On The On-line Detection Of Foreign Matter In Bottled Beer

In recent years,with the fast development of the packaging technologies for beer and baverage,the inspection based on mchine vision has been used widely ,especially in Gemerny and America.The machine vision system has high speed and can work in a automatical way.China is a very large market of beer and has a huge production every year, due to the demand of advancement of the these companies and the desire of higher qulity ,the manufacturers begin to import more and more advancedinspection systems-----these machines are used very well but their price is also veryhigh .In such conditions ,we must develop the similar system of our own so as to get our position in the market.This paper researches about the online inspection system of foreign matter in the beer,in which the system is designed according to the packaging craft.The system is formed by light system ,industrial camera ,the image capture card ,industrial computer and software,besices above the PLC and other optical-electricity sensors are also included.In this solution,the light system is mainly studied and the proper type of LED and right way of light are chosen.The industrial camera and the image card are also decide through calculation according to the line speed . The SIEMENS S7-300 PLC control the motion of the production line and send out the order to an air cylinder to pick out the bottle which contains the foreign matter.Based on the system design ,the paper focuses on the image processing method and critical algorithms.After the image is captured ,they are sent to the memory of the PC through PCI bus,then the PC calls the HALCON library functions to preprocess the image ,this mainly includes the image smoothing and the image enhancement.The mean filter and median filter are used by the image smoothing ,while the histogram equalization and gray strech are used by image enhancement.Though filtering and enhancement ,the noise is smoothed off and the image contrast becomes more clear.In order to recognize the foreign matter in the bottle,a ROI is requested.Thus, Hough transform is used here to fit lines which will help to form several areas that have similar ship to the bottle,and these areas is the ROI .Then the edge detector operator, threshold segementation operator and other operators can be used to figure out the foreign matter in the bottle.The foreign matter areas are set several parameters which can be dicide by the craft engineer in order to separate the proper matters.The resourse program of HALCON cant works as an application software,so the writer develop the application software with VisualBisic6.0.The tests express that the system is stable and trustable,that is to say this system not only has the theoretical value but also applicable value,at the meanwhile the reseach developes a way to further study and increament.
